Season Seven is the seventh season of Monk and began airing on July 18, 2008 on USA Network. The seventh season concluded after 16 episodes on February 20, 2009. It contains the 100th episode of the series.

The seventh season of Monk began airing in the United States on USA Network on July 18, 2008. The second half of the season began airing on January 9, 2009, while a Christmas special was aired on November 28, 2008. This was the final season where half of the episodes were aired in summer of one year, and the second half was aired early next year

The seventh season was released on DVD on July 21, 2009. It includes four discs with a total runtime of 688 minutes. The first disc includes the special features "Mr. Monk Buys a House" Video Commentary with Creator/Co-Writer Andy Breckman and "Mr. Monk Gets Lotto Fever" Video Commentary with Writer Hy Conrad; the second the features "Mr. Monk Is Underwater" Video Commentary with Writer Jack Bernstein, "Mr. Monk Falls in Love" Video Commentary with Writers Josh Siegal and Dylan Morgan, "Mr. Monk's 100th Case" Video Commentary with Writer Tom Scharpling, and "Mr. Monk Gets Hypnotized" Video Commentary with Writers Tom Gammill and Max Pross.[1]
