Meredith Preminger is Sharona Fleming's creative writing teacher. She was married to Maxwell Preminger, but she was also having an affair with Denny Graf, a security guard at Sharona's community college. After receiving Sharona's short story, "The Fatal Recipe," about a woman who kills her husband with tomato soup laced with carbolic acid, Meredith turned heel and used the story as a blueprint to kill Maxwell.
Meredith and Denny first decided to discredit Sharona, which included Meredith denying that Sharona turned in the story, as well as Denny posing as a blood soaked murder victim who was only seen by Sharona, and the couple breaking in to Sharona's home and rearranged little things. Meredith committed the murder while dining with Maxwell, and celebrated with Denny after Maxwell succumbed, but Sharona's discarded first draft of the story ended up resulting in Meredith's defeat and arrest.
Preminger was sent 65 years in jail.
